Lonely Glove

Written by Mick Cohen-Carrolli

Just a lonely glove impaled palm first

On an inner city school fence

Waiting for my other half

I know you’re out there.

Aristophanes said there used to exist

10 fingered Gloves, two hands holding tight

And they were split in eternal search

For the left to their right

A charcoal grey five fingered insulate

Ready to find my forever mate

All I’m looking for is a little love

To fit just like a glove

I might be too late

But if you’re ready and willing

Find me at the corner

Of warmth and fate
