There's a Voice in My Head

There’s weeds in my head

they wish me, give me worth, to be dead

pull tight ‘round my throat

weighing me down, I try to float.

The light is my marker.

But they’re strong, the blanket shrouds

Me darker

We’ve been living together so long

I’m scared the weed and I have

Become one.
